Lake-O-Pines Texas Catches
""2001""
Well, Its Saturday June 2, 2001. They just shut back the flood gates at Lake-O-Pines dropping the water level about three foot. We have had lots of rain this year and there should be some big cats to be caught. I caught this 30 pounder at 5;30 this morning on a green Sunfish, sure felt good to hook into a good one. I do feel as though this is just the first of a bunch we will catch this summer!
Oh Yeah, It is Sunday June 3, 2001 and look what I caught this morning at 5:30! I caught this biggun in the same spot I caught the 30 pounder yesterday. This big fella weighed in at 41 pounds and he also ate a four inch Green Sunfish. Like i said, Its gonna be a good year!!!
SAME FISH DIFFERENT VIEW....
Here's that little fishin' buddy of mine! My Son Ronnie with a 29 pounder and a 21 pounder he caught this morning, Saturday, June 16, 2001 at the spillway. Ronnie hung into another monster but lost him half way through the battle, is this a lucky fella or what? Consider this, he was floating little bream next to me when he caught these and all I caught was four small ones, five to ten pounds each.
This is another pic of the 29 pounder Ronnie caught.
Mom went with us today and had a little luck also. You gotta watch out for this ole gal, she will outfish all of us on a good day! All our fish today were caught on Sunfish and Bluegill.
I told you, You gotta watch this ole gal! She caught this 46 pounder this morning at 7:30, June 30, 2001. Rachael caught this brut on a Green Sunfish. She caught another smaller one and just skunked the fire out of me and John!!!!
Keep checking this page because the big Flatheads are just now starting to bite at Lake-O-Pines and as I get photos' I will post em here!
